R&D IN GENERAL PRACTICE
The majority of practices are carrying out work constituting research and development. This is a broader area than conventional research, looking at any activity that addresses a technical challenge or uncertainty. Examples include clinical audit resulting in finding new ways of working to improve outcomes and efficiency. In addition, undertaking in-house research to problem solve a difficult case, or the adoption of new technology and equipment. The incentives are designed to reward the time spent by staff working in these areas.

HOW IT WORKS
FEASIBILITY CALL
The CrediVet team, together with our accountancy specialists, will establish the nature of the veterinary business and the eligibility for a claim.
This meeting comes at no cost to the practice. It generally lasts under an hour and can take place online or in person.
TECHNICAL MEETINGS
Lasting approximately an hour, again online or in person, these meetings are to extract in more detail the qualifying activities.Â
This enables us to prepare a claim and produce a full report. Your report will be supplied together with a figure that can be submitted by your usual accountant to the relevant tax authorities. Your claim will then be paid to your practice bank account.
